Silly Day

Oh, what a day! I feel like I have been saying/thinking this a lot.

I had another day of summer gym. The day wasn't awful, but by 12:30 we were done with everything planned, but we still had to sit around until 2:30. So most of the time we sat in the blazing, hot sun by the pool. Like I said, it wasn't awful, but it wasn't overly exciting.



Tonight I headed out to Hobby Lobby with my friend Abby. I think this has become an almost weekly outing - ha! I did pick up a cute frame for my room. I'm planning on getting some new frames and wall decor to update my room a little bit because all of my pictures are kind of old. I am obsessed with this frame I got, and I even got it for 50% off! :)

We stopped at a costume store for a little bit, and my friend got a new cardboard cutout. HAHAHA How funny and awesome is this?

I can't believe tomorrow is July already - summer is going way too fast!

Quick, Random Update

Wow. What a week and it's only Wednesday! I thought I'd drop in real quick and do a random update on my week so far and also add in my new favorite song at the end!

If you read my last post, you know that I am in a summer gym class right now for the next 2 weeks. That is what I've mostly been doing the last few days because that takes up pretty much all day! Then I'm so tired to do much of anything else the rest of the day.

 Yesterday we went bowling. Which is fine. I'm not a good bowler, but I can handle a couple of games. However, this was far from a couple of games. We played 6 games of bowling. I thought my arm was going to fall off. Seriously, who even bowls that much? Then we went putt-putting, but I got to leave early! YAY! I volunteer at a Children's Hospital, so I left to go do that.

I met the sweetest little girl at the hospital. I played checkers against her, and I think I about made her day when I told her that she was really good at checkers! She started giggling and had the biggest grin on her face. I really love volunteering there - I feel like I learn so much by being there and playing with the kids.

My mom and I finished off the day by going out to the mall. I came home and crashed I was so tired!

Today we went to a park for summer gym. It wasn't all that bad today - it was for sure one of the better days. We did some golf and volleyball in the morning, which was the boring part, but after that it was all good! We got a really yummy lunch and then we were free to do whatever we wanted. Some of my friends and I went bike riding and then did some paddle boats.

Tomorrow we are going to a country club. I'm really dreading that. My aunt and uncle used to belong to this country club, so I used to spend every Thanksgiving and Easter there. I have nothing but wonderful memories of that place. I'm really afraid tomorrow is going to ruin it for me - ha! We have to do some golf stuff and water aerobics. I'm a little scared.......

What I've Been Up To

I haven't been up to a whole lot, so I've been missing a little from blog world these last couple days. I thought I'd do a little run-down of some of the stuff I have been doing though!

On Saturday night I did a whole lot of nothing and it was great. My parents went to a graduation party, so that left me to make myself dinner. I drove to Target and picked up some pasta to make, and then some ice cream - ha! I spent more on the ice cream than I did on the pasta :) This is seriously the best ice cream ever. It's Ben & Jerry's Half Baked - a combination of their chocolate fudge brownie and cookie dough ice creams.

I curled up on the couch with my puppy and my ice cream and watched 13 Going on 30. It was a nice night all to myself :)

When my parents got home, my mom and I went to Hobby Lobby and Target (haha - again!) This time I found something I've been looking for forever. I found this really good Strawberry Banana smoothie in Washington DC, but I haven't seen it around here. I finally found it at Starbucks!

Sunday was low-key too. I spent most of time setting up my Pinterest! I'm a sucker for new social media sites - ha! But if you have a Pinterest, follow me and I'll follow you back!

Today........

Oh dear.

Today I started summer gym, aka the longest 2 weeks of my life. Today we played dumb games the entire time (6 hours and 40 minutes). I played 10 games of cornhole. Oh well, I'm just glad one of my friends and her sister are in the session with me, so we can suffer together. Prayers would be deeply appreciated - hahaha!

Spa Day #2: Manicures

Today was yet another spa day! My mom and I went and got manicures today with a gift card we had won. So, the manicures ended up being free! This was my first manicure I've ever had (surprisingly....), and it was a lot of fun. The only thing that disappointed me was the fact that the spa we went to did not use OPI. I'm OPI obsessed, so I was hoping to buy a bottle or two at the spa with our giftcard. Oh well...... I still love the color I picked!



We got Yagoot and headed home because Coco had a grooming appointment today. We have a truck come to our house and they just groom her in the driveway. It cracks me up!

She was in desperate need of a haircut.....

I love the bows they put on her when she's done!

The rest of the afternoon was spent reading. I finished Mobbed by Carol Higgins Clark. I would strongly suggest this book. It's part of a series, the Regan Reilly Mysteries. I've read most of the books in the series and they are all so good!

Then I started another book, Vision in White by Nora Roberts. I love weddings so I'm sure I'm going to love this book and the series that goes along with it!

Tonight I met up with some of my friends at Chipotle. I got there a little early, along with my friend Ashley, so to kill time we went into Best Buy and played with the iPads. Oh my. I really don't know why I don't have one of these! (Oh, yeah, the price.......HA!) But they are so fun. We were playing with the Photoboth, iFatFace, and AgingApp. These apps were so funny. Here's my fat face :)

I'd say it was a good day overall!

Crazy Dreams

I'm one of those people who hardly ever dreams. I always wake up never remembering anything. But the last few nights have been the exact opposite. I have had some wild dreams. I'm not sure this post will be interesting to anyone else, but I kind of wanted to write them down because I thought they were so crazy and funny!

1. The Nightmare

The first crazy dream was super scary because it was also so realistic. I had met some of my friends for ice cream at Graeter's. Afterwards, I was pulling out of the parking lot to head home. I turned right and saw that up ahead there was a man standing in the middle of the road facing people on the sidewalk. This random guy was facing away from my car, but as I got closer, I saw that he had a gun in his hand and was randomly shooting at the people on the sidewalk. SCARY! I drove so fast by him, and then I looked in my rear-view mirror and saw that he started walking in the direction of my car. I literally floored the gas and drove home sobbing. It was so freaky because it was so realistic!! It woke me up, and I had a hard time falling back asleep!

2. The Funny One

This dream was so funny, but incredibly random. It started off by me getting into my friend's family's car. When I got in, we realized that my friend wasn't there, and we had no idea where she was. But, we just drove away anyway (and I know we were going on a long trip......) The most random part of the dream? I was sitting in the backseat with my friend's sister and she had a pet SQUID. It was sitting in her lap, and she was just flopping it all over the place. I don't even know...........

3. The Freaky One

Now, this might top the charts as far as the weirdest dream ever. President Obama, along with the majority of the United States (and even some of my family members!) were out to get me. They kept saying that they were going to find me and put me in prison for 20 years. But I seriously had no idea what I did. So, to get away from them, I was running around this giant building trying to avoid them. I finally came across some of my family (who was on my side). I just remember collapsing onto the floor and sobbing because I was exhausted from running away, and I was afraid I was going to go to prison. Then I woke up. I have no idea how it ended, which is a little disappointing.......

4. The Pathetic One

This dream was just pathetic. I was with this random family, and their grandpa was missing. No one knew where he could have gone. Everyone met up at the grandma's house to discuss what they were going to do. When we got there, grandma was baking cookies. She said that she didn't want to talk about grandpa's disappearance, so everyone just dropped it. Instead, we curled up, watched a movie, and ate the best chocolate chip cookies ever. Even though grandpa was MIA. I mean, I love cookies, but that's pretty pathetic!

Crazy, crazy! Although these dreams are slightly entertaining, I'm hoping I don't have any other scary ones!

Spa Day #1: Pedicures

It's a spa week this week! My mom and I got pedicures today, and we are getting manicures on Friday. YAY!!

While I was getting ready this morning, I snapped some pictures of my dog - she was just looking way too cute! She really needs a haircut. Thank goodness she is getting one on Friday!



I loved getting pedicures this morning! My mom and I do it every summer, and I always look forward to it. This time I choose to do a silver base with a turquoise shatter. I am so obsessed with the shatter - especially this turquoise one!

We went out to lunch at Steak & Shake, stopped at the movie theater to buy Harry Potter premiere tickets :), and then stopped at Target. On the way home, we found this little cutie standing in the middle of the road. I'm not a big fan of deer, but baby deer are adorable!

Then I ran to Hobby Lobby, Michael's, and Target (again) with one of my friends. I came home to a nice dinner of......breakfast! I love having breakfast for dinner. My mom got creative and made mine Mickey Mouse shaped.

I love days like this!
