What I'm Loving Wednesday

It's been a long time since I participated in What I'm Loving Wednesday, but I'm hoping to get back in the routine! Here's what I've been loving lately......

I'm loving that this weekend is Labor Day Weekend! I'm looking forward to a nice long weekend!

I'm loving this picture of the sky from the other night.

I'm loving this scarf - I think I need to order it soon!

I'm loving this ecard I saw on Pinterest because I have totally done that - ha!

I'm loving this quote - something I need to remind myself of daily.

I'm loving taking piano lessons! I think I've mentioned before how I started taking piano lessons over a year ago just because it's something I've always wanted to do. At this point, I feel like I am finally getting decent - ha! I'm far from being the next Mozart, but I can read and play basic music at least :)

I'm loving this sweet puppy. After a long day of school, it's nice to come home and be greeted by a dog who loves you just for you!

And last but not least, I'm loving that this week is halfway over! I'm really looking forward to a break because this has been a long week with a lot going on :)

Have a great rest of the week!

Makeup Monday {Bare Minerals}

When I was in Destin, I went into their Bare Escentuals store, and ended up buying a makeup kit that (to me), was a great value! I tried to search the products on the Bare Escentuals site, and most of them weren't on there, so I think the colors must be discontinued now or something, but I'll still post about them!

I figured I'd share exactly what I got and my opinions on them! I just love writing and reading makeup posts. Ha!

Eyeshadow - Creme de la Creme and Magnifique
I love these eyshadows! The Creme de la Creme is a pretty gray and creamy color. I love the Magnifique too! That's a really dark color that's more like a dark gray with a little bit of plum in it! I would definitely recommend their eyeshadows. You get a TON of eyeshadow too :)

Big & Bright Eyeliner - Black Coffee
I love this eyeliner! I like that the color is a cross between black and brown, and I just love how smooth it goes on!

Flawless Definition Volumizing Mascara
I'm actually not that impressed with this mascara. I don't think it is really dramatic, and I don't think I'd pay full price for it. The Benefit They're Real! Mascara is SO much better!

Tinted Hydrating Mineral Veil
I love this finishing powder! It seems to stay on my face all day, and I like how it's pretty tinted. There are a lot of days when I don't feel like using my liquid foundation, so I can just use this powder and still cover up a lot!

Blush - Avant-Garden
I do NOT like this blush! Ha! I like the color alright, but I hate the packaging! It's a loose blush like the Mineral Veil is a loose powder, but I don't like the idea of a loose blush. I either get too much product on my brush, or not enough. Although, I saw online that their blushes come in a normal packaging now, so maybe they fixed that problem! I still like my Nars blush so much though!

Lipgloss - Rouge
I really like the formula of this lipgloss. It's not overly wet and sticky, but it seems like it would stay on your lips a long time! The only thing I don't like about it is the color. I didn't get to pick the color, so it's a really dark red/brown, which just isn't the color for me! I really want to try their lipgloss in a different color though.

Overall, I really like the Bare Escentuals/Bare Minerals brand! The eyeliner and powder are my favorite!

Busy Busy

This has been the busiest weekend I have had in a long time! And even though I'm really tired now, it was totally worth it and so much fun!

On Friday night I went to the Elder football game. I'm actually not a huge fan of going to football games, and I don't normally go to many. But I decided to go anyway because all of my friends were going. I'm so glad I went too! I didn't watch much football, but it was fun to just sit and chat with my friends. We went to Skyline afterwards, and it was just a really fun night.

Saturday morning I got up and went out to celebrate my friend Danielle's birthday! Her birthday was actually on Wednesday, but my friend Erin and I thought it would be fun to go out and celebrate over the weekend. We went out to Kenwood and ate at the Cheesecake Factory! I hadn't eaten there in years, so I was really excited!

And although the pizza we got was really good, the cheesecake was my favorite part! I had the toughest time deciding what kind I wanted to get, but I ended up just going with my old favorite - Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake!

We shopped around afterwards for a little while too. I hadn't been out to the mall in awhile either :)

I had to drop my friend off at her boyfriend's house afterwards since it's close to the mall, and it was in an area I had never been to before. As I was trying to get back to the highway, I made a wrong turn and ended up somewhere Danielle and I had never seen before! I pulled over in a strip mall to look up directions on my phone, when we saw this store....

Aglamesis! It's an ice cream shop that both Danielle and I had heard of, but had never been to before. Although we had already had a ton of cheesecake, we stopped in anyway to try some of their ice cream. We just felt like we couldn't pass it up - ha!

The inside of the shop was SO cute. It was a little weird though - you sat at a table and ordered off of a menu, and then a waitress brought your ice cream to the table. I've just never seen that at an ice cream shop before.

For some reason it took them forever to bring us our ice cream, so what turned into a quick stop probably took us about half an hour....

The ice cream was pretty good though. The shop is kind of rivals with Graeter's, which is still a lot better in my opinion. I'm glad we stopped in though.

I got Strawberry Chocolate Chip, and I loved the old fashioned bowls they served it in!

Then that night I went over my cousin's house for a bonfire. I had thought about not going because I was really tired, but again, I'm really glad I went! I feel like I don't get to see my extended family as much during the school year, so I'm happy I got to see some of them last night.

Today has finally been a pretty relaxing day! I've watched a little TV, worked on some homework, and visited my grandparents. Pretty much a typical Sunday!

I hope you have a great week! Having to go to school for 5 days straight is going to take some getting used to for me!

Yesterday

Well, I survived my first day of Senior year! It's so weird to think that I will never have another first day of school as a high school student.

A few weeks ago my cousin gave us the idea of taking a picture of me with my first day of kindergarten picture. So my mom and I looked through our old photo albums and finally found the pictures!

I think this picture should receive the most awkward picture award - ha! My dad and I both look so serious :)

So yesterday morning we took these pictures....

I also had to get a picture with Coco too....

Then I had to dig up the picture from my first day of Freshman year too....

All of these pictures have made me think about how much things have changed in 12 years. I've had so many life experiences, and I have met so many new people since I started kindergarten. I feel like I don't even look like the same person from 12 years ago. I also think it's so funny how different I look even just from Freshman year. When you see yourself everyday, it doesn't seem like you change a lot because it happens so slowly. When I compare myself to 3 years ago though, I feel like I look SO much older now.

I can't even imagine how much things will change again by the time I graduate college. I'm nervous and excited for it at the same time :)
