Christmas

I've got your attention now, don't I? I am so excited for Christmas already.  As in, I've been looking up Christmas pictures online, and I already have an awesome gift idea for a friend of mine! I seem to get more and more excited for Christmas the older I get, which I think is backwards!

I'm going to post some Christmas stuff that I don't want to forget when the Christmas season actually arrives. :)
I think this wreath is super cute. I might have to try and make a Christmas ribbon wreath this year!

Super fun Advent calendar.

These cupcakes are totally up my alley. I will probably be making these sometime soon..... :)

Creative way to display Christmas cards!

I've already decided that I want to go all out on my Christmas wrapping this year. I love the look of the simple brown paper, but adding ribbons and fun stuff to it!

Now I'm really in the Christmas spirit! I feel like I should be 6 years old instead of 16 - ha!

WILW

I loved playing along with What I'm Loving Wednesday last week, so I'm at it again! Here are some of the things I'm loving.....

I'm loving my family's new iPad. Does anyone know any must-have apps?

I'm loving that I ordered a pair of Ugg boots on Saturday. They should be in next week!

I'm loving that I got out of school early today.

I'm loving that we are dog-sitting my aunt's dog, Cricket, this week.

I'm loving that my dad made me homemade waffles for breakfast this morning!

I'm loving that I'm hopefully (as long as I finish homework on time) going out to dinner at Bravo's tonight!

Have a great Wednesday!

Laid Back Weekend

I've got a lot to catch up on, but I don't have too many pictures, so you're just going to have to bear with me!

Thursday
Thursday was a really busy day! After school, I had to babysit, and then I came home and made cake pops really quick. I went up to my school because we had a big volleyball game against our biggest rivals. All of my friends went out to cheer on the team!

Then I ran home and took a shower, and headed over to my friend's house. She had a sleepover with our entire English class. It was so fun! We watched The Scarlet Letter since we just finished reading that book in class. But the movie was really dumb, so we turned on Tangled instead - ha! I made scarlet letter cake pops too :) It sounds really nerdy, but we had fun!

Friday
Friday was a super easy day at school because we just had our walk. (Our calculus teacher did make us go to calculus though....) The highlight of the day though was that we got to skype with one of our classmates who moved to Africa over the summer. After we finished doing math, we got to talk to her, and that was really neat!

Then we did our walk and we got to leave when we finished! So I ran by Chick-fil-a and picked up some lunch, went home, turned on a movie, and fell asleep! My dad had friends over on Friday, and he asked me to make a dessert, so I made that when I woke up. I made Reese's Cheesecake Brownies. They were really rich, but really good too!

That night I watched a movie with my mom and fell asleep really early. It was an action-packed Friday night :)

Saturday
On Saturday my family went to my cousin's soccer game, and then we went out to the mall to buy.......

....an iPad! I'm so excited - we've been talking about getting one for a while now, and we finally have one. The thing is super addicting! My favorite part is the photobooth app. I had a photo shoot with my dog........

Doesn't she look like an alien or something in this one?

My personal favorite!

Also while we were at the mall, we got Yagoot, which I've been craving for the longest time. :)

I didn't do anything Saturday night either - just chilled at home. It was kind of nice though to have a relaxing weekend!

Sunday
On Sunday night my family went to dinner, and then we went to see the play Beauty and the Beast. It was SO good. I loved the set - it looked just like a fairy tale/dream. The whole show was awesome - I highly recommend seeing it!

Hope you all have a great week!

My Favorite Fall Accessory: Scarves

My all time favorite fall/winter accessory is a scarf. In my opinion, you can never have too many scarves, which is why my collection is constantly growing! I'm dedicating an entire post to scarves because it is a topic I am very passionate about - ha!

My favorite ways to tie a scarf:

Obviously there are so many different ways to tie/wear scarves, but I mostly stick to the "normal" or "usual" ones.

This is probably the most popular way to tie a scarf.

This is by far my favorite way to wear scarves. It's so simple, but I love the way it looks!

I just stumbled across this way to tie scarves, and I love it. I will for sure be using this a lot this year! I think it's kind of hard to explain, but I just figured out how to do it by looking at the picture.

My favorite places to get scarves:
I have a lot of scarves from a lot of different places, but I'm just going to highlight some of my favorites. I don't actually have any of the scarves in the pictures - I'm just pointing out some cute ones!

My favorite brand of scarves from Macy's is INC. I have one of their scarves, and it is probably my absolute favorite!

My scarf from Banana Republic is very thin and delicate, but I like that because it's different from all the rest! I love the color of this scarf!

H&M is probably my favorite store to buy scarves from! I like the material (not too thick, but not too thin) and the length of their scarves. Not to mention the price! The few I've bought from there haven't been more than $10.

I have metallic snake print scarf from here, and I love it! I really like this purple one too.

Charming Charlie has such a wide variety of scarves, which is great! I have a purple ruffle one from there, and I like it because it is fashionable, but it keeps me warm too!

I don't actually have any scarves from Old Navy, but I always think they have the cutest ones online. Their prices are good too.

This post is making me want to do some hard-core scarf shopping - ha! Do you like scarves as much as I do?

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Today I'm trying something new - I'm participating in What I'm Loving Wednesday! I've seen so many people play along with this every week, and I thought I would give it a try since it seems like so much fun. So here's what I'm loving this week.......

I'm loving that I don't have any classes on Friday :)

I'm loving that I got to try out my new bottle of OPI this week: Brisbane Bronze!

I'm loving that on Monday I finished my homework by 8, and I got to watch A Walk To Remember!

I'm loving Scotty McCreery's new album, Clear As Day!

I'm loving that I'm going to make Reese's Cheesecake Brownies this week!

I'm loving that my friend is having a sleepover on Thursday, and I'm making cake pops for it!

I'm loving that this is my first What I'm Loving Wednesday. I don't think it will be my last :)

Have a great Wednesday!

Babies and Birthdays

I had an excellent weekend, and I hope you did too!

On Friday I stayed home, and it felt so good! My family rented Life As We Know It. I really liked that movie - it was a little predictable, but I still thought it was really cute!

So, I watched that Friday night, and then I went to bed by 10! It felt so amazing - I haven't gotten to bed that early in weeks. Then I didn't wake up until 9 the next morning. I slept 11 hours - ha! I can't even begin to tell you how good that felt and how much I needed that. I feel so much better now!

On Saturday I went to my cousin's baby sprinkle. She's pregnant with her 3rd baby, and instead of doing a big baby shower, she had a little "sprinkle". :) It was so fun, and my mom ordered these super cute baby girl cookies!

The decorations were so cute!

I loved these flowers in the teacups!

Saturday was also my friend Melanie's birthday! So my friends went out that night to celebrate. We went to Newport on the Levee. We ate dinner at Johnny Rocket's, and then took some pictures down by the river.

A bad attempt at a group picture.....

Then we got Coldstone, and saw The Help. That was the second time I've seen that movie, and I just love it. If you haven't seen it, you really should! We went back and spent the night at Melanie's house too. It was a really fun night!

On Sunday I went to brunch with my family, and then went to a family friend's soccer game. This weekend was fun, but I loved having some down time too to catch up on my rest - I really needed that.

I have a feeling this is going to be a good week - I hope I'm right! Have a great Monday :)

Last Weekend

It has taken me an entire week to finally get around to blogging about last weekend! Crazy. I'm having a hard time even remembering what happened last weekend - ha!

Last Friday night, I went with some of my friends to eat dinner at Chick-fil-a - my favorite!

Then we went over to Target to walk around and get Starbucks. I decided to try their new Salted Carmel Chocolate Frappuccio, and I liked it at first, but later on I drank up a big piece of salt, and it was really gross. I don't think I'll be ordering that again - ha!

Can you tell we had a lot of fun just walking around Target?

My friend Erin and I decided to buy some crazy fake eyelashes. These are the ones I bought:

These are the ones Erin bought:

A super creepy picture of my eye :) The eyelashes were so hard to get on! We put them on in Target's bathroom, and then took them off before we left the bathroom - ha!

Erin and I with our crazy eyelashes on!

Then we went to see Crazy Stupid Love. That movie was so good - I would highly recommend it. It was really funny and very unpredictable.

On Saturday morning my family got up early and did the Breast Cancer walk. I love doing this walk every year! On Saturday night, I went shopping with my friend Abby. We ate at Noodles & Co. (my new favorite place) and then did some shopping at the mall. I was so bummed that I didn't buy anything - I have money burning a hole in my pocket!

That night we decided to try a new frozen yogurt place, Orange Leaf. I really liked the variety Orange Leaf had, but we also have another frozen yogurt place around here called Yagoot, and I still think that's my favorite.

I made myself a strawberry cheesecake. - I had a combination of cheesecake and strawberry yogurts and topped it with strawberries, graham cracker crumbs, and chocolate chips. You serve yourself, and I ended up getting way too much more than I needed :)

On Sunday I went over my aunt and uncle's house for my grandma's birthday. It was fun because my entire family was there. My cousin put on a show for us too, and we all had so much fun laughing and joking around.

What a fun weekend. I can't believe it's already October. I've got another fun weekend planned, and hopefully I can post about it before next Saturday. ;)
