Day 24: Favorite Places to Shop

I'm loving today's topic because it is about our favorite places to shop, and shopping is one of my favorite things to do!

My #1 favorite place to shop is Macy's, and that is because my dad works for them, and we get a discount there! Not to mention the fact that I always find cute clothes, purses, and shoes there!

Other than that, I don't have any super specific stores I shop at. I like H&M, Forever 21, Francesca's, Old Navy - really just whatever.

I haven't been shopping in a long time, but I'm going tonight and I'm so excited!

Day 22: Hobbies

Today's topic is all about our hobbies. My #1 favorite hobby is baking. I absolutely love to bake! Some of my favorite things to bake are.....

1. Cake Pops

I love making cake pops! They're my favorite and everyone always seems to love them. I haven't made them in a long time, which I think needs to change soon :)

2. Cupcakes

I love cupcakes too! I made these burger cupcakes for a family party over the summer:

Last week I made these army cupcakes for a dance that was army themed. I love the way these turned out!

3. Cheesecake

I love making cheesecake - I've made traditional and Oreo cheesecake before, but a few months ago I tried out 2 new cheesecake recipes. The first was cheesecake stuffed strawberries, which were delicious!

 

And this was a cookie dough cheesecake. I loved making (and eating!) this one.

This post has got me really hungry and in the mood to bake something - ha!

Family Fun Weekend

I'm just now getting around to blogging about the weekend, but I figure it's better late than never. This past weekend was a busy family weekend, and I really enjoyed it!

On Friday night I went with my family down to the Red's game for my grandma's birthday. It was actually funny because some of my friends ended up going to the game too, and I met up with them for a little bit, but I also got to spend time with my family! My favorite part of going to the Red's games is the cotton candy - ha! On the way out, I snapped this picture of my little cousin Brandon :)

On Saturday night, my cousins Maddie and Sydney spent the night. We had a lot of fun! We started off by eating cookies and playing outside. Maddie insisted on a photo shoot.

I'm pretty sure this was the "fabulous" pose :)

Then we took Coco for a walk.....

We had a fancy dinner of.....pizza! But what made it fancy was the decorations. We colored these drawings....

...and set up some pinwheels.

 We watched Despicable Me, and later on we had a bonfire, roasted marshmallows, and ate s'mores!

Then we broke out the glow bracelets, which Maddie and Sydney always seem to love. Coco had to wear one too!

Then we headed inside to blow up the air mattress and watch The Fox and the Hound.

When we woke up in the morning, we finished watching Fox and the Hound. Then we ate cinnamon rolls for breakfast.

What a busy weekend! I had so much fun though with my family :)

Day 20: Picture of Yourself

These pictures were taken last fall. I just love them because I was having a really good hair day (ha!), and my dog is actually looking at the camera.

Day 19: Share Your Nicknames



Today's topic is all about our nicknames. Most people call me Allison, but there are a few people who call me other things......

1. Pippi

My cousin started calling me Pippi a long time ago after Pippi Longstocking. She fixed my hair one night when we were in Florida, and she said I looked just like Pippi Longstocking, and it just kind of stuck.

2. Alice

My little cousins call me Alice because they couldn't say Allison. I think they could say it now, but they still just like to call me Alice :)

3. Son

A few of my friends, especially my friend Melanie, call me Son (like Allison). That's just kind of stuck too. I don't think Melanie has called me Allison in almost a year.

Day 18: Something You Miss

This is an easy topic for me. I miss summer!

Summer is just always such a great time, and in the midst of a hectic day, I can't help but think about how much I miss summer.

What I wouldn't give to have every day to do whatever, to get to sleep in, have fun with my friends, be back on my cruise, go shopping with my mom, or go out to lunch with my family.

Oh well, I always have next summer!

Today's topic is about blogs we visit daily. I have all of the blogs I read on my sidebar, and I just look at them when I see they are updated, but I'm going to go ahead and list 5 of the blogs that I read most often/enjoy the most!

1. A Blonde Ambition

I love this blog because Leslie posts about her life, but also a lot about fashion!

2. The Pioneer Woman

I absolutely love the Pioneer Woman! Her posts are so funny, and I love reading about her life in the country. I also got to meet Ree a few months ago, and she is just as sweet in real life as she is on her blog.

3. Gitzen Girl

If you've never read any of Sara's posts, you need to! Her posts are so inspirational and sincere, and I always look forward to reading her blog in the morning. The last update on her blog says that she isn't doing well, so I'm sure she would appreciate your prayers!

4. Kelly's Korner

This was the first blog I ever read, and I love reading it! I like how Kelly blogs about her life in a way that makes it so much fun to read!

5. Love From Texas

This is a blog that I love to read, and I can't exactly tell you why. Jessica is so creative, and I love seeing all of the creative things that I wish I could do :)
