Weddings: Part 1

I don't have anything super exciting to blog about, so I'm just doing a random post on weddings! In the month of September, I'm going to be participating in a blog challenge that will get me blogging a lot more. :)

......................................

I LOVE weddings. There is just something so magical and enchanting about a wedding that I love, love, love!

I'm obviously not getting married anytime soon, but a girl can dream, right? I thought I would share some of my favorite wedding stuff today because it is just too fun.

How sweet and creative is this wedding proposal?

Some of my favorite wedding pictures......

I think this wedding dress is absolutely gorgeous!

I love the idea of coordinating all of the colors. I think the pink accent on the dress above goes great with these pink invitations and pink accents on the cake:

What can I say? I love weddings. Do you love weddings as much as I do? Have you ever dreamed about your future wedding day?

Life Lately

I wanted to post on Wednesday, but I'm just now getting around to it. School has been taking over my life, and it's only been 3 days!

Wednesday was my first day of school, and it was crazy! I'm taking 4 AP classes this year, so it's like I'm in college already....... In my AP American History class, we had a quiz on the first day of school. I can honestly say that's never happened before! After 3 days of classes, I've already had 4 quizzes! The teachers this year are really diving in right away.

On Wednesday night, I went to a concert with my friend Abby. The main act was Cartel, but I had never heard of that band before. We went to see the opening act, Action Item. There were 5 opening acts, and Action Item was the last one, so it we were there for awhile watching bands that we had never heard of, but once Action Item came on, it made all the waiting worth it.

On Thursday, I started my new babysitting job. It was kind of crazy. The kids I babysit are super cute, but the little boy only wanted to play video games, and his parents told me he wasn't allowed. That made for an interesting situation, but it ended up being okay in the end.

When I babysat on Friday, it was much better! He wasn't too concerned with the video games, which was good! And it was fun mixing up some lemonade with the little girl. I think she likes to bake and cook, which is great because I love that too. :)

On Friday night I met some of my friends at Graeter's for ice cream. We ended up being there for 2 hours because we were having so much fun talking.

Tonight I'm going to see The Help with my mom. I've heard it's a good movie, so I can't wait to see it. I hope everyone is having an excellent weekend.

Change

Today was my last day of summer :/ I didn't do anything overly exciting today, but  it was nice to have a simple, relaxing last day!

I watched Something Borrowed again this morning! We bought it on DVR, so we had if for 24 hours, and I figured I would turn it on while I did some stuff this morning. I baked some chocolate chip muffins and then painted my nails. My nails were in bad shape - they were in desperate need of some TLC, especially my toe nails. They look so much better now!

I painted my finger nails too. I don't know why, but I always feel more accomplished when my nails are painted - ha!

My puppy got a desperately needed haircut today. Now she can actually see!

My mom and I went to PF Chang's for lunch. It's been way too long since I've been there, and it was SO good. We swung by DSW afterwards so I could pick up the boots I've had my eye on. To say I'm obsessed with them would be an understatement.

We went and walked around Target in the afternoon, and then went to Zip Dip for a final summer ice cream treat!

When I got home, I finally got around to do something I've been wanting to do for a long time. I made some digital scrapbook layouts. The first one is of Grand Cayman....

....and the second one is a mix of different pictures from summer.

Tomorrow I start my junior year of high school. A few days ago, I was super nervous, but I'm working on just going with it. I figure that being nervous isn't going to change anything, and it will help so much more to go into this year with a positive attitude instead of a negative one.

I've heard that junior year is the hardest academic-wise, but I'm trying to keep in mind that it is just a season of life, and I won't be stuck studying American history forever! So, I'm pushing all of the negative thoughts out of my head, and I'm going to try to make the best out of all the hard work and learn something from it!

I have a feeling that this year is going to bring a lot of changes in my life, but I am praying that they are good changes and that they shape me into a better person!

I am the Lord your God, who holds your right hand, and I tell you, "Don't be afraid, I will help you."

I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.

A Bit of Everything

I'm doing a bit of a picture post today + a run-down on my weekend and Monday.

Saturday.........
I bought my dog the cutest Halloween costume. I wasn't even thinking about the fact that Halloween is over 2 months away, but whatever!

That night I went over my friend Abby's house to hang out with my friends. We played Apples to Apples, and then drew pictures - ha! But it was a lot of fun :)

On Sunday I went golfing with my dad in the afternoon. We used to go golfing a lot, but I don't think we've been all summer. I'm glad we got to do it, and I even beat him on a few holes :)

I went out to dinner with my mom's side of the family on Sunday night. We went to a restaurant I have never been to before, the Market Street Grille. It was a really cute place, and the food was really good also!

Today my mom and I ran some errands and then went to the park for a picnic lunch. It was gorgeous day to eat outside, take a walk around the park, and get some good pictures!

Don't you love her bow?

Tonight I watched Something Borrowed! I loved the movie. I still think the book was better, but I think that's almost always the case. This was my favorite scene of the movie.

Friday

I'm just now getting around to posting about Friday because I got home late last night, I just went straight to bed! Friday was an awesome day :)

I started off the day by getting up early so my mom and I could drive to Dayton to go shopping at The Greene. This place is so much fun! We went there last year on the last day of summer, and we were going to do that again this year, but my dog has a grooming appointment on the last day. Oh well.

We shopped around for a little bit, and I got a new pair of jeans! That automatically made this a successful shopping trip because I have the worst time finding jeans. The only place I have found jeans that fit me is at Delia's. I love their jeans!

Then we ate lunch at That Crepe Place.

Oh my gosh. This place was unbelievable. They had a mixture of sweet and savory crepes, but I went for a sweet one. I ended up getting a strawberry and nutella crepe. It was so awesome!

The Greene is seriously so cute!

I spent way too much money between shopping on Thursday and Friday. Oh well.......

At Yankee Candle I decided to try out their vent sticks. I got the Sun & Sand scent, and I put it in my car last night, and it really makes my car smell good!

At Bath & Body Works I picked up one of their new Halloween lip glosses. I love their Liplicious brand!

I really wish we had a fun place like this in Cincinnati!

My goal for the trip was to find myself a giraffe print scarf. I ended up getting one that was pretty close at Chico's; it's a mix of a bunch of different animal prints. For as big as animal print is this year, no one has giraffe print scarves.

When we were done shopping we went to Rita's - my favorite place in the whole world. There is seriously nothing better. If you've never been to Rita's, you need to go. Now.

I got my favorite - strawberry gelati!

When I got home, I took a nap, which felt so good - I was exhausted for some reason. Then my family went out to dinner.

I had to run home and make some dessert for a party. My friend had a big end of summer party last night, and she asked some of us to bring food. I ended up trying out another Pinterest recipe. Have I mentioned how much I love Pinterest? I made safe-to-eat chocolate chip cookie dough and cake batter. It was to die for, and it really tasted just like cookie dough and cake batter, but minus the eggs!

I had so much fun at the party. There were a lot of people there, and a lot of them were people I hadn't seen all summer. I got to talk to some new people too!

I got home around midnight, went straight to bed, and didn't get up until 11. I was wore out!

After this week, I've come to this conclusion: I'm really going to miss summer.

Thursday

Today was a super busy day, but it was one of the most fun days I've had in awhile!

I set my alarm this morning so that I would wake up and get some things done this morning. My dog was being super cute, so I had to take her picture as I was getting ready.

Today was my cousin Maddie's 5th birthday, so my mom and I went over to my aunt's house for a birthday pool party. I had so much fun celebrating her birthday, eating way too many sweets, and swimming in the pool!

The birthday girl with our present.....

Putting on a "big show"

Maddie with her Fancy Nancy book. She got a big case of the giggles around here and would not stop laughing :)

We ate cupcakes and the dessert I made yesterday (which ended up being amazing) after we sang Happy Birthday.

It was so hot outside that the pool was a must. Maddie and Sydney threw water balloons in the pool too :)

I went home and got ready real quick to head out shopping with my friend Abby. We went out to Rookwood, and it was the first time I had ever driven on the highway without my parents' help. Yikes! Hahaha, but I did fine, and I am much more confident now to drive on the highway alone!

It was a very successful shopping time. I got a new jacket at Nordstrom Rack - I love that store. This picture really doesn't do it justice. The jacket is a lot cuter and the color doesn't look this gross in real life.

And I got a new pair of yoga pants, which I've been needing, from Old Navy.

My friend found some cute things too, so it was a very good shopping trip! We also had some Yagoot and Starbucks while we were out there. I hadn't had Starbucks in forever, and I've missed it dearly :)

What a fun, but busy day. I've got another super busy day planned tomorrow that I can't wait to blog about. I hope your Thursday was as good as mine!
