101 Update + New Feature

I'm finally getting around to a post I've been wanting to write for a long time!

Here's an update on my 101 in 1001 because I got a lot crossed off recently.

On my vacation, I got to cross off 12 of my goals :)

11. Travel out of the United States.

13. Go on a cruise.

15. Go to the beach.

21. Go ice skating.

25. Go zip lining.

27. See a play.

29. Watch the sun rise set.

31. Go on a picnic.

32. Watch a fireworks display.

36. Hold a baby turtle.

50. Go an entire weekend week without using my phone.

54. Don't use the computer for an entire weekend week.

I now have 39 goals completed, and I have 14 more that are in-progress. I'd say that's pretty good!

Now I'm going to switch gears completely and mention a new feature I'm adding onto my blog. I went through all of my posts and labeled them according to what the post was about. Now I have a list of the topics on my sidebar (below the archive), so if you want to read a post about something specific, this makes it a little easier!

BIG News!

Tonight I get to cross off one of my biggest 101 in 1001's........

48. Get a job.

I will be babysitting 2 little kids everyday after school until their parents get home. I'm really excited since it is the first "regular" job I've had. Meaning, it will be regular, set hours, and I won't be working for my grandpa. :)

It isn't a big "official" job that involves paying taxes or anything, but it is a job none the less!

I can't wait to start - I'm really looking forward to it!

Other than that, my weekend has been pretty busy!

On Friday I went wedding dress shopping with my cousin, and she found her dress. I'm so glad I got to be there when she found it!

On Saturday, I went over my aunt's house and found out that my cousin is having another baby girl! I can't wait to meet her :)

I went to a wedding Saturday night. I didn't know the people getting married (my dad works with the groom), but I wanted to go anyway because I love weddings! Afterwards I went and got myself a Chick-fil-a shake and watched a movie with my sweet puppy.

Today I went to a family reunion with my mom's side of the family. It was so unbelievably hot. I thought I was melting. Then we had a family party with my dad's side. It was a big family day today!

I'm planning on going swimming tomorrow because it is so stinkin' hot around here. I love the summer, but I hate the humidity!

May 1

To start off the month, I celebrated my birthday with my family. I got an entire bag of my favorite candy, and it made my day!

I was so obsessed with the Royal Wedding. So, I was so excited when my mom picked up this magazine at the store!

May 3 was my birthday! We celebrated by going to PF Changs for dinner. Their fortune cookies are my favorite!

I ordered this photo book off of Paper Coterie. They have the cutest photo books, and I ended up getting this book during a promo, so I only had to pay shipping and handling. It was really worth it!

Oh, look! Another picture of cake balls - ha! This time I made them for my dad's birthday. They turned out better - I think I get a little bit better each time I make them. This one ended up looking really nice!

I took a little trip down memory lane, and I watched my old grade school video. I laughed so hard when this picture of my friends Rachel and Melanie showed up. I just had to take a picture of it - it's such a cute picture!

My dad decided to made a shelf/holder for his basketball. He thought it was so cool, and my mom and I were making fun of him, but I have to admit - it was a pretty good idea.

It was my parish's festival, so my friends all went up on Friday. The best ride there is the Egg Roll. You're locked in this cage, and you flip upside down like crazy. My friend Melanie and I even got stuck upside down on the top.....

I laid my clothes out on my bed, then I looked away, and when I turned around, this little cutie was laying on my clothes. I felt bad moving her because she was so comfortable, but I had to get dressed!

I finally got around to painting my toe nails. I painted them with my all time favorite nail polish color ever: OPI's Strawberry Margarita. I use this color all summer long! My mom and I are so obsessed with it, that we used all of the bottle and had to get a new one. And somewhere along the lines we bought another bottle, so we currently have 2 of them - ha!

And that's a summary of my month of May! I actually really enjoyed taking a picture a day. Can you believe it's June already? May just flew by!
